lyrics
Get the fuck out of my body
I’ll set myself on fire
Set myself on fire
Set myself on fire
In an attempt to evict
As I drown in tenebrosity
I can feel them feed off
Every breath of air I breathe
By their chains I’m forever bound
But they can’t dwell in my temple
If it’s burned to the ground
As I inhale the fumes
The stench of gasoline
Then fills up the room
Forbidden wine
I force myself to fucking swallow it down
Gagging, I just want to burn from the inside out
I’ll strike the match
Get the fuck out of my body
I’ll set myself on fire
Set myself on fire
Set myself on fire
God damn you all straight to hell
Vermilion is all that I can see
Drowning in the matches glow
As it starts flickering
My skin blisters like a putrid rust
I can feel spirits stir
As I combust
Gag on the stench
Burning flesh
I reduce myself to ash
Gag on the stench
Burning flesh
I reduce myself to ash
If I go I’m taking you with me
Motherfucker
If I go I’m taking you with me
Fuck you!
If I go I’m taking you with me
Motherfucker
If I go I’m taking you with me
Motherfucker, fuck you!
Get the fuck out of my body
I’ll set myself on fire
Set myself on fire
Set myself on fire
God damn you all straight to hell
Set myself on fire
Set myself on fire
Set myself on fire
I try to sever the ties
But they keep me alive
They won’t let me die
They scream at me
“You’ve fabricated this hell
Your misery is our eternal pleasure
We’ll never stop”
Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
