lyrics
They won’t let me die
I’m a slave to hell
Chained to torment
Born to suffer forever
There is no death here
Only misery and defilement
For eternity
Every suicide attempt
Becomes a running joke
They bring me back to this hell
I feel all the pain
With no benefit of an escape
They keep me alive
There is no death
Only an eternity of suffering
I’m a slave to hell
And they want me to suffer
For their pleasure
There is no death
Only an eternity of suffering
I’m a slave to hell
And they want me to suffer
For their pleasure
They won’t let me die
They won’t let me die
They won’t let me die
They won’t let me die
It doesn’t matter
How fucking hard I try
Every single drop
Of blood is shed in vain
You can take my body
Just let my fucking spirit fade
And separate my consciousness
From my physical being
Just let me fucking die!
Please let me fucking die
I just want this
Suffering to end
Please let me fucking die
I just want this
Suffering to end
Please let this pass from me
I surrender myself
I offer my flesh in propitiation
I place myself upon the altar
I invite them
Let my spirit flee
From my body
Flesh surrendered
To the ungodly
Please let me die
I can’t live
In this fucking hell
Anymore
Please let me die
I can’t live
In this fucking hell
Anymore
Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
